Artist's Description

Backstage, unidentified child actors from the chorus of Benjamin Britten's 'Noye's Fludde' look at one another's masks, Suffolk, England, June 1958. The piece, based on a 15th century version of the Noah's Ark biblical story, was first performed during the Aldeburgh Festival on June 18, 1958.
