Portrait of Beverly Hills investor Sidney Brody (right) and his wife, Frances, as they pose together in their home, Los Angeles, California, 1966. On the wall behind them is a large ceramic piece by Henri Matisse entitled 'La Gerbe' (The Sheaf) (1953). It was commissioned by the Brodys in the 1950s and weighed around 2000 pounds; Mrs Brody's will left the work to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), where it was moved in 2010.
