Portrait of American businessman and President of the Hormel Foods Corporation Jay Catherwood Hormel (1892 - 1954) founder of Hormel foods poses at a desk with some of the canned meat products his company produces, Austin, Minnesota, 1946. Son of the company founder, he is pictured with products in the 'Dinty Moore' line (spaghetti with meatballs, ox joints, irish stew, and others), tins of Spam, and various Hormel-branded products (ham, pate, chicken, chili con carne, and others), as well as canned chicken, tongue, and others. Also pictured are jars of 'Spic' (shortening) and a bag of 'Arf' branded 'Pet Food Pellets.'
