American boxer Muhammad Ali, then known as Cassius Clay, raises his fist triumphantly as he emerges from the ring after defeating Sonny Liston in Lewiston, Maine, on May 25, 1965. Having already claimed the World Heavyweight championship in their first match, Ali solidifies his reign with a first-round knockout in their rematch.
