Artist's Description

Outside the Moose Market grocery store, lawman Frank Branik (with the pistol down his pants) poses with realtor Walt Wilson (center) and publisher Jerry Reinerston, Wheeler, Montana, November 1936. Wheeler is very near to a shantytown that was erected to house workers during the construction of the Fort Peck Dam.
